INQ says that its new offerings should be called social phones and not Facebook phones. The company admits that though Facebook has been very heavily involved with it and it’s been a collaborative process, it plans to tap more avenues to make it a ubiquitous social phone in future. Needless to say, those aspirations augur well for the bright future of social media.
The Cloud Touch has a 5MP camera on board while the Cloud Q sports a 3 MP camera and QWERTY keyboard. Both run Android 2.2 and are a part of INQ’s growing arsenal of high-quality, low-cost social-networking-focused phones.
How does the phone work?
As expected, the phone is heavily Facebook-centric. There’s no separate app for Facebook; all Facebook features such as status updates, wall posts, Places check-ins – appear on your home screen. You can make calls through Facebook API, to friends whose numbers are stored in your phone.
